Earlier in 2016, 16-year-old Indonesian rapper “Rich Chigga” set the Internet ablaze with his viral video for Dat $tick. The video featured images of him and his Asian posse acting like gangsters while dressed in a pink polo and wearing a fanny pack.
The video ended up going viral which prompted a hilarious reaction video from the likes of rappers Cam’ron, Desiigner, Ghostface Killah, and others.
Despite making fun of a few rapper tropes as well as Asian stereotypes, the video has been well received online and with the both the rap & Asian community.
Dat $tick, which has currently has over 19 million views, boosted Rich Chigga to Internet fame, and even prompted rapper Ghostface Killah to hit him up for an official collab.
The wait is over and that collab premieres today.
While the original video was shot low-budget style, the remix clearly added some real production value with interesting CGI throughout. The collab features both Ghostface Killah as well as rapper Pouya.
