If you were raised by Asian parents then you probably remember them being extra, extra (extra!) careful when spending their hard earned money, whether it’s in the grocery market buying the cheap brands or using a 2 for 1 Big Mac food voucher at McDonalds whenever possible. I definitely remember wanting my first Play Station 1 for my birthday in September, but had to wait until the following year April when it went on discount! I used to think it was silly, but of course I had no concept of money and its value. Now that I am a little older (but not that much more mature!) I’ve come to appreciate the power of the dollar. Today, things are not cheap, and certainly not clothes, especially sneakers!
Since we all suffer from this online shopping addiction, I thought I’d share my personal tips and tricks that I have picked up along the way, following that same mentality from my childhood environment. I go through everything from online shopping to eBay to Facebook groups to flash sale websites etc. If you’re in the same boat as me, and want to stretch that hard earned dollar and make the most of your money, have a look at the video I posted on my YouTube channel. Let me know if it helped you and share any of your own tips that you’ve discovered!
