Please give a brief background about yourself.
Hi there everyone my name is Linda Le from a small town in Oklahoma. Im full Vietnamese and besides the fact I like to cosplay, I would like to think of myself as someone that just likes to keep being progressive and passionate about everything that I do in my daily life. I am also heavily into music that would include all kinds of metal to classical. Oh and I love my dogs, they make me feel fuzzy.
Is cosplaying or modeling your full time job right now?
I do cosplay quite a bit nowadays, and do it full time. I am in the works with a few companies that I am coming out with merchandise right now. I also style and travel doing that as well. I try to keep busy as much as I can. I love being around people, and to be around innovation is my kick in life.
Tell us more about your career as a model.
I have been modeling professionally for a little over one year. I never thought I’d love doing it so much, because majority of my ideas were a bit over the top, and maybe my brain was fighting the fact that if I didn’t model now, I’d never. I also didn’t want to do anything that I didn’t believe in, so I was more careful to start when I was ready to show the world what I wanted to do. So I guess I went with it and now I am modeling for various clothing, toy, and game companies. You can always catch me geeking out at conventions, art shows, all across the U.S.A. and also Japan.
Do you ever think about furthering your career in the entertainment industry? Perhaps doing movies, hosting a show, or something similar?
I would love to actually. It would be insanely fun hosting a show that had something to do with electronics, games, tech news, and/or anime. All the things I already research day to day. My friends call me “Linda-Wiki-Chan” which is hilarious.
So a lot of people know your an avid gamer, what was the last game you played?
There are a few I go through daily actually. I have a few platforms that I play and tend to be out and about quite a bit lately so although my PS3 is my favorite console, I bring my DSiXL and play Dragon Quest 9 and Final Fantasy on it lately. But XBOX I’m trying to get better at Ikaruga, but man that is the hardest game for me right now, although I do love the challenge.
What is your favorite costume of all time?
My favorite has to be Morrigan from Darkstalkers, she is the epitome of Succubus chic, and definitally fun to play on Marvel VS Capcom. She’s was the hardest to create and also the one I wanted to cosplay the most.
How much does it cost to make such an elaborate costume like the ones that you wear?
It all depends actually, some costumes cost as little as 20 dollars like the one I made for my character Vampy, and for Morrigan you would be looking at well over 300 dollars for parts to make it out of. The only thing thats more consuming than the money put into the costumes is time Which I don’t mind any of it.
We heard you like anime, if you could recommend us some anime to watch, what would it be?
Well I’m really into the older anime, like Ghost in the Shell, Ranma 1/2, Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, and Akira, but more recently I just finished High School of the Dead which was borderline serious with a splash of ridiculous fan service which I loved.
Describe a very typical day in the life of Linda Le.
I wake up, do all my little cleansing rituals, shower, wash my face, brush, etc and go on my computer to look up all my tabbed electronic, gaming, and toy sites to be up on the latest news. I then figure out what I need to do for the day by looking at my schedule, which I like to be ahead by at least 2 weeks of everything and start working right away. Thats the beginning of everyday, but it actually really depends where I work, what show, or shoot I’ll be preparing for, so its always changing.
But one thing thats for certain I like to read all day, or stay current and working physically on art, or planning meetings for new innovations on things I want to achieve. Its always active which I can sincerely say.
I tend to like to keep busy and I don’t watch T.V. unless its Man VS Wild, Discovery channel, or something that has to do with Nature. I like to spend time with my dogs, read alot of books, write, skateboard, paint, sew, cook, well just about anything that has to do with making something new everyday, I’m all about it.
What kind of group did you fit in with during your school days?
Well I didn’t have a group actually. I was always the quirky girl with braces and glasses. I was also in the school band, and had people copy my homework. LOL But the weird thing was I did get to hang out with a few “cool kids” which I don’t know how that happened we had nothing in common. But I always got the, “Linda’s different” but I didn’t know what they that meant by that. I was also into sports so I was a bit of an all around school spirited type I suppose, but extremely shy.
So being a gamer, a cosplayer, and an overall geek, you must be every guys’ dream girl. So we gotta ask, how do you choose your man amongst the 1000s of guys that are probably chasing after you?
I look for these three things; passion, sincerity, and humor. I’m pretty simple, and I like to laugh, and really intrigued to know the person I am into is really who he says he is. Also if he’s into music as much as I am thats a plus. Thats it! The law of attraction is real. What energy you put out is what you get back.
