If you thought Tiger Woods was the only Asian golfer worth knowing about then you would be dead wrong. For over ten years the Hawaii born Korean golf phenom Michelle Wie has been making magic on the greens in the Ladies Professional Golf Association.
She is a little over dressed for the sauna but we will wait around until the steam does its job and she figure out what to do.
Before Wie turned pro at the ripe old age of 16 and became the youngest player to qualify for an LPGA Tour Event, Michelle had an accomplished career as an amateur.
At age 10 she was the youngest player to qualify for a USGA amateur championship as well as at the time the youngest player to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Tournament. During Wie’s amateur career she would go on to win several accolades in the golf world at home and abroad in Europe and in Asia, including the Hawaii State Open, Ladies European Tour, and LPGA of Korea Tour.
As a pro she entered the big leagues as one of the youngest golfers in LGPA history and has since gone on to be a mainstay among the best female golfers in the world.
Oh and did we mention she even found time to attend Stanford University majoring in Communications? Yup, Michelle Wie is both beautiful jock and stunningly intelligent nerd.
So here is to Michelle Wie the gorgeous golfer we all wish we could hit a hole in a one with!
