Step 1: Choose the right college
If you’re going to college for the Asian chicks/dudes, then obviously find one that has a sizeable Asian population. You’re going to find that a lot of these colleges are in California and Hawaii. Let’s start with the top-tier colleges, which include UCLA, UC Berkeley, UPenn, Stanford, and USC. If you don’t have the right credentials then you may want to apply for a second-tier school such as University of Texas at Austin, UC Davis, or UC San Diego. Still can’t make one of these? Then try for a lower-tier college like UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, and University of Hawaii at Honolulu. Still can’t make it into these? No worries, your best bet is to try a community college in California and then transfer into a UC school.
Obviously there are many other schools out there with a large Asian population. Just try to find some statistics for your college before you decide to apply if you know that you want to have easy access to many other Asian students.
Step 2: Greek Life
Now that you’ve been admitted, where can you start meeting other Asians? Almost all colleges have sororities/fraternities, and if you chose a college with a sizable Asian population, then most likely they will have a chapter of some Asian sorority/fraternity. The first month or so of a semester is a college’s “rush” period, where new students usually are invited to many sorority/fraternity parties. Once you find out who the Asian sororities/fraternities are, check out their groups on Facebook or try to locate a few members to give you info on their rush events. These events are usually free for “rushees.” These events are opportune times to meet Asians of the opposite sex. Use this time to also make friends with the fraternity brothers/sorority sisters on campus so you can have special treatment later in the semester. You are not obligated at all to join the fraternity or sorority if you attend these events; however, joining a sorority or fraternity will further guarantee that you meet many desirable Asians of the opposite sex.
Many fraternities will hold mixers with a sister sorority. These mixers are small get-togethers with another sorority to let the potential new members meet each other. This is a great opportunity for one-on-one interaction if you are not particularly comfortable with large groups of people. This is also one of the main times you can connect with other new freshmen rushees.
A lot of times there will be more than one Asian sorority/fraternity on campus. It is in your best interest to try and attend rush events for all of them if you can (UC schools have a bunch). Start getting acclimated to the party/club scene so you will feel more comfortable meeting people in these areas.
There are some problems with the girls you might meet at clubs and parties. The quality of their character may not be what you want. The typical hot law student might be studying instead of going to parties. Also I’ve found that it’s much harder to capture a girl’s attention at a club/party because a high quality girl will have several men vying for their attention at one time. A good tactic is to try dancing with someone, and then sitting down with them in an isolated area to talk and exchange numbers. Then meet outside the party/club so you can actually connect with them without the rush and noise of a loud club.
